CIAC Divisionals Cross Country Race

A high school race sponsored through the CIAC, consisting of CT high school runners. During the races the Log Cabin is open for refreshments and provides a warm fire a warm fire in cold weather. Vehicle entrance fees apply.

The Wickender – Bare Bones Disc Golf Tournament

A Halloween themed disc golf tournament with some rules contortions. Full costumes are required! 1 round, 22 holes, trick or treat dubz. A free event sponsored by Wickham Park. Children of all ages enjoy visits with Santa and his elves and refreshments with Mrs. Claus. Santa's Workshop provides a chance for children to enjoy a non-commercialized Christmas experience. Guests are welcome to bring non-perishable food items to be donated to area food pantries. Hours are 3-6pm weekdays and 1-5pm on weekends. Come and create a new family tradition.

Spring Tree Tour (Free with Park admission)

Join us for an introduction to the Park's diverse tree collection Walk through the Oriental and Lotus Gardens to see and learn about over 40 varieties of trees, from a giant white oak (Quercus alba, the state tree of Connecticut) to a dwarf mugo pine (Pinus mugo, from alpine Europe), as well as one of the park's newest trees, a Caucasian wingnut (Pterocarya fraxinifolia - we'll sort out that Latin name!).
